Abstract
Patterns are an integral part of the universe. There are several algorithms designed to extract information about the objects. These algorithms can be modified/ combined or written anew so that the patterns can be recognized from chaos. Another important part of deciphering patterns is the method for gathering information about it. This can be done using various geospatial technologies like remote sensing using satellite data, LiDAR, SONAR, DRONES etc. Better and timely availability of the data helps to study the patterns on earth and the changes over a period of time using temporal or multidate data. This paper investigates the basic of remote sensing technology and the various patterns recognition techniques which can be used to extract information from the patterns.
