The structured interview schedule was used to conduct the data. Tool consisting of part I and part II. Part I consists items related to demographical data, Part II consists knowledge questionnaires (r 0.95) regarding selected needs of under five children. Structured teaching programme was prepared with a view to enhance the knowledge of mothers regarding selected needs of fewer than five children.
