We propose a system in which fingerprint verificationis donebyusing extraction of minutiae technique andthe systemthat automates thewhole process oftaking attendance 1, 4, 6], Manuallywhich is alaborious and troublesomework and waste alot of time, with its managing andmaintaining the records for a period of time is also a burdensometask. For this purpose we use fingerprint verificationsystem using extraction of minutiae techniques. The goal ofdevelop a complete system forfingerprint verification through extractionand matching minutiae. To achieve good minutiae extraction in fingerprints with varying quality, preprocessing in form of image enhancement and binarization is first applied on fingerprints before they are evaluated. Many methods have been combined to build a minutiaextractor and a minutia matcher. This project highlights the developmentof fingerprint verificationsystem using MATLAB.
