Abstract
Cholera is a water borne disease which is epidemic and life-threatening in nature. It is usually characterized by numerous, voluminous watery stools, often accompanied by vomiting, and resulting in hypovolemic shock and acidosis. It is caused by a bacteria species Vibrio cholera which can also cause mild or in apparent infections. In this research paper fuzzy classification (classifier) a branch of soft-computing and subsequently a branch of Artificial intelligence is applied to objective recognition of cholera which invariably eliminates the uncertainty associated with conventional approach for cholera diagnosis.
