DEMOCRACIA DIGITAL E PARTICIPATIVA NO BRASIL: DESAFIOS E PERSPECTIVAS PARA O SÉCULO XXI

Sociability and politics are fundamental characteristics of man. While human relations were personal, sociability and politics were lower proportion. The increase of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) has led society, before analog, to another virtual or digital. The research aims to investigate the reflexes generated by the massification of the use of ICT in the exercise of participatory democracy and the challenges in the 21st century. The main objective went to delimit the concept of participatory democracy and present some ICTs that have been influencing the political scenario. Specifically, aspects related to the challenges and perspectives of participatory democracy in theinformation society will be explored. The method useful for research was the explain why the procedure used was a bibliographic review. The research revealed that ICTs already having an impact on Brazilian participatory democracy.
