Actual Problems of Development of the Region's Tourist and Recreational Complex

Tourist and recreational complex of any region is an organic component of its economic system and affects the size of the gross regional product. For the Transcarpathian region, where the potential of the tourism industry is extremely powerful, the problems associated with the prospects for tourism development are particularly relevant. Problems and features of development of the tourist-recreational complex of the region, its components and influence factors have been considered in the article. The current state and ways of development of the tourist-recreational complex of the region, as well as its influence on the social and economic status of the territory, have been studied. An economic analysis of the main performance indicators of enterprises of the tourist industry of Transcarpathia in recent years has been carried out. The shortcomings and competitive advantages of the tourist-recreational complex of the Transcarpathian region, which will contribute to increasing the competitiveness of the region's economy, have been revealed. To develop recommendations for the further development of the tourist and recreational complex of the region, an assessment of the natural resource and cultural-historical potential of the region has been made, and the main directions of their development have been identified. The article highlights the priority measures that will contribute to the growth of both external and internal tourist flow: the development of existing and construction of new ski resorts, green tourism institutions, campsites, mini hotels, etc. In turn, it will positively affect the increase in the level of employment, quality of life of the population and the competitiveness of the Transcarpathian region among the regions of Ukraine. The article outlines the main activities that will contribute to creating conditions for the development of the tourist infrastructure of the Transcarpathian region and increasing revenues to the regional budget. On the basis of generalization of practical experience, we propose our own vision of the organizational structure and the main tasks of the activities of the regional tourism administration.
