Abstract

The purpose is to examine the current state and role of investment for development of agrarian sector of Ukraine as a key component of ensuring sustainable use of agricultural land and determine the environmental and economic performance of their using. Methods: analysis and synthesis of abstract and logical, statistical analysis, graphic. The role of investment in solving the problems of achieving sustainable land use in the agricultural sector of Ukraine has been shown. It has been demonstrated that existing volumes and uses of financial income in the agricultural sector did not allow achieving the level of sustainable land use. Existing approaches to cropland is aimed at increasing the profitability of agricultural enterprises by natural soil fertility, which poses a threat level of agro ecological and food security. Integrating the interests of ecology and the economy will solve the problem of finding a compromise between ensuring an acceptable level of profitability and agricultural and ecological security for regions of all taxonomic levels. That is, if the money is spent rationally and measures are implemented under scientifically grounded technological requirements, then with high probability a positive response of soil can be expected. Based on these assumptions, the systematization of selected indicators list of soil quality on agricultural lands have been proposed as indicators of efficiency of investment resources. Integral indicators, in addition to spatial and territorial structure of the land and the structure of agricultural cropping rotation, are the non-deficit balance of humus and nutrients, the level of contamination. This aspect is a new approach to improving ecological and economic mechanism of ensuring sustainable land use and has potential for practical use for the implementation of the state program for land protection. At the same time, the implementation of such a program requires financial support, and then mechanisms for monitoring the performance of work and a system of indicators of the effectiveness of raising funds, which can be considered as the resultant state of use of agricultural land.
