Scientific approaches to organization of polycultural education of future teacher

Abstract

It has been found out by means of theoretical analysis of recent research and publications, that the announced problem was reflected in the scientific researches of many modern researchers. The researchers analyzed the evolution of multicultural education in Ukraine, clarified the concept of "multiculturalism" and "multiculturalism" in the scientific discourse, focused on the problem of forming the multicultural competence of secondary school teachers, since they considered polycultural education to be an actual problem of a modern school, and thus determined its state and prospects. The article deals with theoretical problem of the essence of multicultural education. A comparison has been made in understanding of various aspects of multicultural education as a special type of thinking, based on the ideas of freedom, justice, equality. It has been established that the ideological aspect of this phenomenon is described by scholars as an educational reform aimed at transforming traditional educational systems in such a way that they correspond to the interests, educational needs, and opportunities of students irrespective of racial, ethnic, linguistic, social, gender, religious, cultural affiliation. The scientific approaches of researchers concerning the direction of the future teacher to pedagogical activity in the multicultural environment have been generalized. The main directions of the development of a secondary school in the multicultural environment have been determined: the education of the national identity of the individual through the means of multicultural education; raising the culture of interethnic communication, which is one of the most ancient problems of all mankind; education of intercultural communication of personality. The results of the analysis of scientific approaches to the definition of the nature and disclosure of the features of multicultural education by many researchers make it possible to formulate its generalized understanding. Polycultural education is a kind of purposeful socialization, which ensures the assimilation of samples and values of world culture, cultural-historical and social experience of different countries and peoples; the formation of a social, value-oriented inclination to intercultural communication, the cultivation of interethnic tolerance and the culture of behavior and communication with representatives of different peoples, cultures and social groups.
