Abstract

In Ukraine, at the beginning of the XXI century, cardinal transformations in the socio-cultural sphere require changes in the functioning of the society's basic social institutions, including pre-school educational institutions. The proclamation of state sovereignty, the development of market competitive relations involves the elaboration of people's high civic qualities, the ability to take a fresh approach to issues of politics, economics, to determine their place in society and measures of responsibility in the modern world. Therefore, currently, the civic education of preschoolers is the basis for the formation of a child's patriotic identity, moral and value education. In other words, civic education, which is designed to form children's national identity, active civic consciousness, desire and willingness to take responsibility for the development of their country and people, is implemented in various forms of work, classes, excursions, training courses. At the same time, the organization of civic education in the system of pre-school education, taking into account the age characteristics of preschoolers, requires a more thorough approach and the selection of methods, means and tools, technologies of education. In this regard, the issues of the personality development of preschoolers in the context of the organization of civic education is extremely relevant.
