Interest in understanding and analyzing the human mind, which is the only consciousness of living beings, has existed since ancient times and has not lost its relevance. This article examines the human mind – forms of manifestation, the structure of intelligence, as well as attempts (tests) to determine the level of intelli- gence. In particular, the focus will be on the verbal type of intelligence – how verbal intelligence is expressed in people, its impact on human life and professional activity, as well as the level of gender distribution of this type of intelligence
