Abstract
WSNs, also known as wireless sensor and actuator networks (WSANs), are spatially dispersed autonomous sensors that detect physical or environmental conditions such as temperature, vibration, pressure, and so on. Wireless sensor networks for tracking and control systems are one kind of technology that the IEEE.802.15.4 LR-WPAN (Low Data Rate Wireless Personal Area Network) specification envisions. Wireless sensor networks provide a novel approach to sensing and transmitting data. Current WSNs usually connect directly with a centralised controller or a satellite, resulting in a single hop between sensors and controllers. WSN nodes or terminals that connect with each other to form a multi hop network is an ongoing research field. As communication among nodes changes over time due to node mobility, such WSNs may change their topology dynamically.
