EXPERIENCE IN USING INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES IN TEACHING PEDAGOGICAL DISCIPLINES

Abstract

Introduction. The article presents the experience in using information and communication technologies in teaching pedagogical disciplines to students at higher educational institutions. The significance of using information and communication technologies is caused by modern requirements of the society and education, in particular, rapid pace of development of the society and the use of information technologies in all spheres of life. The aim of the article is highlighting the experience in using information and communication technologies in teaching pedagogical disciplines to students at higher educational institutions. Methods. In order to achieve the aim, certain methods have been used. They are: the general scientific methods (analysis, synthesis, generalization, comparison and classification of the scientific sources), the empirical methods (study of the results of students and lecturers' educational activities. Results. It has been revealed in the article that there are different ways of using information and communication technologies in teaching pedagogical disciplines in higher educational institutions. They are: using multimedia means in classes; using different electronic materials;creation and use of electronic and multimedia textbooks, audio and video encyclopaedias, electronic visual aids; using thematic Internet resources; work with information and educational portal of the departments, the university website and educational platform Moodle on the university website; teachers' blogging; using programs (Zoom, Meet) for organization of video communication and video conferences with the participants of educational process in real time; using personal information and communication services (emails, Viber, Telegram, Skype applications on smartphones or computers); students' involving in project and research activities using information and communication technologies; students' participation in network projects, Internet Olympiads and contests in pedagogical disciplines; using computer tests for the assessment of students' knowledge of pedagogical sciences. Conclusion. The material of the article makes it possible to conclude that using information and communication technologies in teaching pedagogical disciplines helps to improve the efficiency of education, students' ability to work and develop their independence and talents, facilitates perceiving and memorizing the educational information, provides individualization and differentiation of education etc.
