Work critically examines Wittgenstein's theory of contradiction and tautology in the context of classical propositional logic. A hypothesis about the different semantical and pragmatic status of contradictions and tautologies comes to light. A number of issues of functional interpretation propositions in the works of early Wittgenstein discussed.
