Abstract

In this paper, we analyze both performance and transmission-reception process in MIMO-OFDM system for wireless communication. Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) configurations provide enhanced capacity and high data rates in the same transmit power for any system. Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a multicarrier technique that divides high data carriers in to sub channels, to achieve high spectral efficiency. MIMOOFDM configuration is found to perform better against multi-path fading and the varying channel conditions, interferences, than the conventional technologies. Here the channel estimation & BER performance of a MIMOOFDM are evaluated and simulated using MATLAB code word on the basis of error reduction, modulation mapping and better system designing using popular IFFT/FFT & 16-QAM modulation formats.
