Abstract

Introduction. In recent years, the political and economic situation in society in our country is quite difficult. The vast majority of the population is overly emotional, nervous, especially in stressful situations. That is why the ability to think positively is an important and necessary component of emotional health. Purpose. To analyze the psychological and pedagogical literature on the development of positive thinking. To characterize the means of developing positive thinking in students majoring in «Preschool Education». Methods. To achieve this goal, a set of interrelated methods of scientific research was used: analysis, synthesis, concretization, classification, comparison, generalization of scientific sources on the research topic; studying of pedagogical experience. Results. Modern scientific research shows that there is a link between health and thinking. In the general sense, thinking is defined as a mental process of indirect and generalized reflection in the human brain of objects of objective reality in their essential properties, connections and relationships. Positive thinking is essentially a belief in success. It characterizes the attitude of man to his problems and the problems of mankind, as well as contributes to their solution through constructive action. In modern Ukrainian psychology, positive thinking is understood as one that contributes to the physical and mental health of the individual (V. Bobrytska, F. Kaloshyn, S. Symonenko). Positive thinking contributes to the success of the individual, and a positive attitude to reality, optimistic worldview facilitates the process of settling emotions. As in the educational process, students always perform certain operations with their thinking and have some skills to change it. At the same time, most students do not have the methods and skills to change the affective sphere of their «I» - feelings, emotions, states. Therefore, we consider the most affordable way to improve the psychological health of the formation of positive, optimistic thinking. In classes on teaching psychological disciplines, it is advisable to use V. Kaloshyn's methods aimed at forming positive thinking, in particular: visualization, rational-emotional therapy, self-suggestion, positive reinforcement, installation, pedagogy of success and others.
