Abstract

The nature of the interaction of sound with an obstacle is revealed. The dynamic characteristics of the plate under an acoustic pressure wave are investigated. A thin isotropic plate was chosen as a mechanical model for the interaction of sound with a flat barrier. The questions of the influence of mechanical impedance for the symmetric and antisymmetric components of sound pressure are considered. Numerical analysis of bending vibrations of the shadow side of the plate is carried out. The value of the lengths of the modulating waves of the main bending vibrations is established.
