Abstract

This article considers the Arctic deserts of Russia and their economic use. The nature of the Arctic is very sensitive to anthropogenic impacts, and its recovery is slow after significant intervention. The Arctic is a point of convergence of the main atmospheric flows, river and sea currents, which bring a large amount of pollutants here from afar. But fragile Arctic nature under such intense pressure is being destroyed, as is the ecosystem of the territory. Accordingly, it is necessary to develop and conduct reasonable economic activity on the territory of the Russian Arctic, to study environmental problems, as well as to implement a policy aimed at maximally preserving the natural habitat. Due to the negative ecological processes taking place in the Russian Arctic, serious consequences have already occurred, which could become global environmental problems in the future.
