Abstract
The goal of this research is to illuminate a theoretical framework that attempts to capture the relationship between the spread of quality management ideas and practices and the improvement in company quality. Design/methodology/approach – The conducted literature study has allowed us to identify the most widely used concepts and techniques in quality management. As a result, we've established a theoretical framework to connect quality management concepts and procedures with actual business outcomes. We interviewed numerous Portuguese Quality Leaders in semi-structured settings to get their input on our conceptual model and the quality management concepts and practices it was based on. The next step was to create a questionnaire using the findings from the previous literature study and the primary insights gained from the semi-structured interviews. All Portuguese firms that have earned ISO 9001 certification were issued this survey. Our primary goal is to verify the accuracy of the model constructed using SEM. We are now conducting the survey proper. Findings - The influence of implementing quality management concepts and practices on the quality performance of businesses is anticipated to be shown by the outcomes. Added value/originality - According to the research conducted for this paper's literature evaluation, the suggested conceptual model is a novel method for describing the consequential outcomes of quality management strategies
