National and Foreign Experience of Future Specialists’ Polycultural Competence Formation

Today the ability to live in polycultural environment, establish relations with foreign partners, efficiently solve professional tasks in an environment of cultural intersections is the main condition for successful professional development of future law enforcement specialists. The article examines the historical, social and cultural preconditions for the formation and development of polycultural education and polycultural competence; national and foreign experience of the investigation of the problem is given; different approaches to the concept of polycultural competence, its structural components and formation conditions are summarized; justification of the essence and importance of polycultural competence as one of the main in the structure of professional readiness of future experts - representatives of any profession - for the effective realization of their professional duties is given. The author analyzes the works of national scientists studying the problem and identifies the necessity of future border guard officers’ polycultural competence formation.
