Integration of ERP Systems and Production Information Systems: Approaches and Methods

This paper touches upon the integration of ERP systems as well as production information systems in the context of transitioning from an R&D manufacturing company to an automated factory. The article mainly focuses on implementing a manufacturing execution system (MES) to bridge the gap between planning and control systems and actual production operations. The work considers the approaches and methods used to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enable data-driven decision-making.
