NORMATIVE AND LEGAL REGULATION OF SOCIAL PROTECTION OF MILITARY SERVANTS: PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS

Introduction. Human security at the international level is recognized as the main expression of the realization of rights and freedoms. The State acts as a guarantor of the creation and functioning of an effective mechanism for guaranteeing human rights. The military aggression of the Russian Federation threatened the existence of the Ukrainian state. The defense of the state rests on the shoulders of the Armed Forces and other military formations. It is their effective work that is now decisive for the further fate of the whole people. Performing constitutionally significant functions and serving in special regime restrictions, associated with a high risk to life and health, military personnel need social protection from the state on special conditions. Purpose. The article is aimed at studying the normative consolidation of such a direction of implementation of the security function of the state as social protection of military personnel. The study of the system of normative legal acts regulating the issues of social protection of military personnel will allow to find out the problematic aspects and formulate proposals for their elimination. The study of the provisions of national legislation, international acts gives an understanding of the need for their systematization, modification and coordination.
