Psychological and pedagogical principles of metacapacities and metaqualities development under conditions of university education

Theoretical, methodological and practical results of research dealing with solving urgent issue of development of professionally, socially and existentially valued abilities and qualities of a personality directly in the training process at the university are presented. Psychological patterns and mechanisms of purposeful development of student’s metacapacities and metaqualities are theoretically justified and empirically investigated. The positive correlation of metacapacities and metaqualities with sense-cognitive orientation of a personality is revealed. The relationship between the level of metaqualities development and orientation span is discovered. It opens the possibility of effective purposeful development of student’s personality under conditions of training in the context of a given orientation.
