Abstract

The article analyzes the main benefits and drawbacks of the 22nd Winter Olympic Games in Sochi 2014 taking into account peculiarities of functioning of the Russian economy, that are confirmed by relevant statistical data. On the basis of the data presented the conclusion about expediency of holding winter Olympic Games in Russia and its further impact on the economy of Russia.
