Abstract

We studied influence of mechanical and mechanochemical activation, at presence of alkali, on yield and sorption properties of humic acids of solid fossil fuels. Samples of peats, coals and sapropels were used as objects of study. It was demonstrated that mechanical activation leads to increase of humic acids yield for all the studied samples. Peat-based reactant, prepared by mechanochemical activation at presence of Ca(OH)2, and sapropel-based reactant, prepared by mechanical activation with KOH preliminary treatment, bind manganese, strontium and cadmium ions within the solutions of the same name
