CST ? CSTO ? CHALLENGING WAY TO THE COLLECTIVE SECURITY

In this article the purposes, tasks of the Collective Security Treaty, its results by 1999, contradictions, the reasons of the CST transformation in the Collective Security Treaty Organization are revealed, new activities of the CSTO are shown, the essence of integration processes in the sphere of the organization of collective security of part of the CIS countries, their inconsistent character and a role of Russia in them are investigated.
