Abstract

Background. The necessity of considering the influence of the crisis factors inherent in a market economy directs internal control on timely identification of risks operating and financial activity of trade enterprises. The purpose of the article is development and justification of the assessment criteria of operational and financial risks in the internal control system of trade enterprise. Results. Receiving, processing, transfer and storage of information provide the application of economic indicators characterizing the selected parameters of control objects. The information is used mainly as a comparison basis, so it plays the role of evaluation criteria. Data characterizing the internal environment of the trade enterprise enter the subsystem of internal control as internal operational and accounting information. The most important for providing information for internal control is operational data, the source of which is management accounting by responsibility centers according to the detailed content for these centers budgets. Degree of operating leverage is an effective criterion of an estimation of risk of decline in the operating profit - the indicator that characterizes the relative dependence of operating profit from the reduction in income from the sale of goods. It is expedient to carry out Control of cash flow on the basis of the payment schedule, which is the operational and financial plan developed for a month, according to the cash flow by generalization of all trade enterprises budgets. The most interesting from the point of view of revealing financial risks, including the risk of probable bankruptcy, are the figures of the balance sheet, based on which the financial stability and solvency coefficients are calculated. Assessment of financial ratios is based on the application of the system of criteria arising from the nature and peculiarities of calculation of an indicator. Conclusion. The application of the above indicators and criteria for assessing the operational and financial risks in the internal control system of the trade enterprise is a prerequisite for the timely identification and prevention of further development of crisis phenomena.
