Abstract
The article deals with issues related to the organization and the social order of the Roman ship-owning and boards naviculariorum nautarum. Researches in this area could serve as a better understanding of the reasons that in II?III centuries led to a change in the social structure of Roman society and the establishment of state control over the formerly independ- ent production and trade. The features of the relationship owners and the government, as well as the place and role of women in the judicial board. Presented the findings on the impact of ship-owning system of ancient Rome in the social organization
