Abstract

Hereditary thrombophilia is associated with a high risk of pregnancy complications as well as recurrent miscarriage. Most types of thrombophilia are characterized by hypercoagulable state, which is the basic mechanism of developing thrombogenic gestational complications. The aim of the study was to develop a method of predicting the probability of a hypercoagulable state during pregnancy in women with recurrent miscarriage by analyzing genetic status of women. Material and methods. We examined 117 women to determine the polymorphisms associated with miscarriage. Integral evaluation of hemostasis was performed using rotational thromboelastometry. Results Genetic markers of thrombophilia are found with the same frequency in women with recurrent miscarriage and women with physiological reproductive function. So, we have developed a model for predicting the development of a hypercoagulable state during pregnancy to assess the combination of genes and the number of mutations detected at the same time by means of discriminative analysis. Conclusions 1. The proposed model enables to predict hypercoagulable state during pregnancy with a sensitivity 75.0% and specificity 85.7%. 2. The use of this model will enable to form a group of women with high risk of gestational thrombogenic complications for prompt diagnosis and correction of disorders revealed during pregnancy.
