Abstract

A simple, rapid, sensitive procedure based on a technique called Low Density Miniaturized Homogeneous Liquid-Liquid Extraction (LDMHLLE) is introduced for the extraction of selected organochlorine pesticides from cow?s milk. The organochlorine pesticides were extracted from cow?s milk by mixture of methanol and n-hexane. The calibration curves were linear in the ranges of 1.0 to 20.0 ng mL-1 and the limits of detection were in the range of 0.03-0.7 ng mL--1. The recovery and percent Relative Standard Deviations (RSDs) varied from 81-111% and 2-11%, respectively. The method was validated through the routine analysis of organochlorine pesticides in cow milk samples.
