Abstract
We report a case of previously healthy 38 year old lady who presented to us with mucosal bleeding following envenomation by Russells viper. Eventually she was found to develop focal neurological deficit during stay. Her CT and MRI brain were suggestive of several ischaemic infarcts involving both posterior and anterior circulation. Her coagulation parameters were normal. We propose that multiple mechanisms have favoured the formation of thrombi in cerebral circulation instead of hemorrhage(commoner) in our case
