Abstract
Uncomplicated fractures of the thoracolumbar region are widespread pathology. These kinds of spine injuries represent over half all spine fractures. There are modern classifications of spine injuries and their biomechanical structure. The three column classification of Denis was developed to show the injury mechanism and its further treatment. Patients mostly complain of severe local back pain and radiculopathy. Results of puncture percutaneous vertebroplasty (PPVP) method in surgery were given. Under the experiment were 55 patients in their 51+1,2 years suffered traumatic compressive fractures of vertebral bodies. We have operated 55 patients. Pain syndrome strength was evaluated with Visual Analogue Scale. Such positive postoperative dynamics as pain syndrome regress and patient’s quality of live improvement were noticed. Thus, PPVP is considered to be minimally invasive and extremely effective method for treatment of traumatic compressive vertebral body fractures.
