Abstract
This article deals with the conditions for implementation an ironical discourse. The semantic clash arising when forming anomalous utterance is considered: the communicative intension aimed at comic effect implies also a language game as "a linguistic experiment" with the non-standard applying of lexemes and their combinations. Certainly, the analysis of such non-standard applying allows not only to establish the creative potential of the text, but also to reveal peripheral word meanings which aren't involved in usage in any way and demonstrate components of individual and author's worldviews.
