Abstract
This article deals with the semantics of менеджер incorporated from English (manager) into Russian. The similarities and distinctions of component structure in the specified words have been revealed. Authors have analysed the usage frequency of word manager in English and word менеджер in Russian. The derivative ability of borrowing has been studied. The practical importance of research consists in possibility of usage of research results in linguistics, theory and practice of translation.
