APLIKASI ATURAN COSINUS DAN SINUS SEGITIGA BOLA DALAM PERHITUNGAN ARAH KIBLAT (SEBUAH RELASI ANTARA MATEMATIKA DAN AGAMA)

Qiblah direction calculation formulas often used in astronomy literatures are cosine and sine formula. Meanwhile, the calculation formulas in the astronomy literatures directly explained how to use in the calculation, without explained about the formation of the formula. Based on this, the formulation of the problem in this paper is about the application of the rules of cosine and sine triangle ball in the calculation of Qibla direction. To answer the problem, the study was designed in a qualitative descriptive study, with data sources of literature related to the focus of research and data collected by the review of these documents, then the data were analyzed by using descriptive analytical inductive use a grounded theory approach. As for knowing the results of the calculations used Qibla calculator Casio fx-350MS. Based on research that has been done can be concluded that between mathematics and religion have a relationship or relationships, which in this case is the calculation of the direction of Muslims Qibla that determines the direction of prayer.
