The paper presents information about organization and becoming of Normal Physiology Department of Ryazan medical Institute named after academician I.P. Pavlov (since 1993 - University). The article presents the main directions of scientific research at the Normal Physiology Department at different stages of its development, there is emphasized the fundamental role of academician P.K. Anokhin in its organization and formation of the educational and scientific work.
