The present article dedicated to the 90th birth anniversary of Professor Dmitry A. Maslakov outlines major achievements of the former rector of the Grodno State Medical University (1962-1998 years). Dmitry A. Maslakov is a prominent scientist, teacher and public figure who made a significant contribution to the development of Grodno State Medical University (GrSMU). He created the material base of GrSMU, formed the academic staff, established scientific schools, and made a great personal contribution to science and development of healthcare in Belarus.
