Abstract
The objective of the research was to summarize the data about modern tendencies in hepatic transplantation using the review of home and foreign literature and to represent it as a lecture on the surgical technique of transplantation of cadaveric liver or its part, taken from a living relative donor. Special attention is paid to the donor operation, recipient hepatoectomy and further renal implantation applying numerous variants of vascular and biliary reconstruction with due consideration of the anatomy and topography of the organ. The advantages of kidney transplantation from a living relative are demonstrated. The lecture can be useful for the 4th-6th year medical students majoring in General Medicine while studying operative interventions on the organs of the abdominal cavity.
