Abstract
This abstract reveals the activity of state and public institutions which protects historical monuments of 1920's to early 1930's. The main directions and forms of their work are to save the cultural heritage of the Cossack times which one may gather from analyzing the activity of the All-Ukrainian society and their protection of the monuments of history and art. We can consider achieving social regional inspectorates for protection of the monuments of culture and natureThis governmental and public conservation of monuments of history and culture reveals the numerous examples of enthusiasm from the public to save the cultural heritage in the region. It also helps one to observe the dependence of the state historic preservation of the political factors at that time.
