Vignette Development: An Illustration in Conflict Research

This paper highlights the significance of vignette methodology in conflict research. It recommends a three stage process to create a vignette that is clear, realistic, complete and effective. It provides a roadmap for the development of conflict vignette, taking the backdrop of software industry as a context, where constraint in terms of scope, time and cost are prevalent. The Pre-design stage involves collecting real conflict scenarios and categorizing them into task, process and relationship conflict based on the operational definition.
