Abstract
The author of the short article is the daughter of Garun Valeevich Yusupov, a famous Tatar epigraphist. She narrates about his life and creative work by using the photos from their family album to illustrate the main events. The pictures show the outstanding researcher's childhood, his family, studies, army service during the Great Patriotic War, and a number of episodes of his further scientific career.
