ETHNO-CULTURAL STEREOTYPES: CONTENSIVE AND FORMAL TAXONOMY

The article deals with contensive and formal taxonomy of ethno-cultural stereotypes from the point of view of V.V. Krasnyh and E. Bartminskyi; the linguistic aspect of the phenomenon of stereotype has been clarified; the correlation of the stereotype and its linguistic sign from the standpoint of cognitive linguistics has been analysed; the ethno-cultural stereotypes have been classified based on our / alien opposition; the ethno-cultural stereotypes have been reconstructed based on plan of content and plan of expression; the semantic (topics), formal (idiom) and formal semantics (formulas) types of ethno-cultural stereotypes have been characterized and found out.
