Abstract
The influence of activated compost on the content of injurious salts in medium saline takyr meadow soils and cotton plant yield capacity under the conditions of Surkhandarya region in the Republic of Uzbekistan was studied. As a result of study, it was stated that application of activated compost had a positive influence on decrease in injurious salts in the soil. The content of dissolved solids and chloride ion at application of activated compost decreased by 0.062-0.065 % and 0.010 % respectively in plowing and subsurface soil layers, when the increase in raw cotton yield was of 5.7-6.2 t/ha-1
