In the current review we have focused the various applications of Blood and Blood Products, the premises for which and from where the license should be obtained, the conditions or guidelines for collecting, processing, storing, issue and Transfusion of blood or blood products. The manpower requirement for the said duties and the important aspect i.e. The Quality Standards that are to be maintained when handling and during Transfusion of the blood systems are hereby briefed including the screening of potential infections that could be transmitted during Blood Transfusions.
