Abstract
The titles as well as the other components of the structure of the historical novel of 1830s are involved in explaining the meaning, genre form and intertext; they play important part in creating – on a national historical basis – the poetics of the genre of popular literature not just of the 19th century. The titles shape the level of the readers' expectations and have dialogical connection with the text they precede, as well as with the readers of different eras.
