FEATURES OF THE LANGUAGE PICTURE OF THE WORLD OF DON COSSACKS (BASED ON MATERIAL OF LYUDMILA MAGEROVSKAYA’S NOVEL “O ZHERNOVAKH” (ABOUT MILLSTONES)

The article deals with the fragment of the linguistic worldimage of Don Cossacks. The analysis is based on the material of artistic text of the modern novel. Dialectal lexemes of the «O Zhernovakh» (About Millstones) by L. Magerovskaya are divided into several groups: names of people; denominations of dishes of the traditional cuisine; names of plants; names of furniture and it's parts, household tanks, tableware, different household objects, shoes). Different lexicographical sources and archival field notes of the author are used to study the dialectal material.
