Abstract

To ensure gas safety in mines, it is necessary to assess the applied technologies for coal and methane extraction based on modern concepts of nature, the conditions for the emergence and development of dynamic gas manifestations. The accuracy of the forecasting of gas emission into the mine workings depends on the processes of gas emission from coal seams and the surrounding massif study degree and determines the measures for efficient and rational extraction of coal-methane deposit resources. It was noted that complex approach to the methane inflow dynamics at the extraction site forecast includes spatial modeling of the rock massif properties and conditions within the mine claim and spatial modeling of the massif gas potential realization in the zones of intensive technological disturbances at the intervals of the extraction face advance, differentiating the gas emission by sources. Aerogasdynamic processes formation in the gob area is shown. Connection of gas-kinetic processes at the extraction section with the development of geomechanical processes in the rock massif study results are presented. It is noted that to improve the reliability of the complex gas control system at the extraction section, its improvement is required in order to minimize methane inflow of mine workings and to increase the underground coal mining safety (by gas factor).
