Abstract

The greatest impact on Kemerovo region environment have coal enterprises in the region, and the scenario of long-term socio-economic region development shows a further increase of anthropogenic impact on all components of the natural environment. At the same time, the modern environmental requirements imply the existence of a reliable, science-based information and methodological support of Kuznetsk coal basin coal extraction and processing in uence on the ecological state of natural environment assessment methods. This paper presents a set of measures, the implementation of which contributes to the problem solution. Toxicity evaluation of overburden and bedding rocks to support the safe use for liquidation of mine workings should include a de nition of gross, mobile and water soluble forms of toxic elements. It was found that water pollution with heavy metals (Mo, Cu, V, Zn, Mn, As, Cr, Ni, Pb) can occur due to leaching during the ltration of natural water ows through the masses of overburden and bedding rocks. It is shown that monitoring study results of methane and carbon dioxide emission sources and ambient air at enterprises sanitary protection zone boundaries can be used to generate reports on greenhouse gas emissions and to verify such emission volumes. To determine the size distribution of the ne carbonaceous materials in atmosphere industrial emissions, waste water and wastes it is proposed to use the laser diffraction method. Determination of toxic polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in coals and products of coal mining and processing, at geo-ecological sites allows to evaluate the level of anthropogenic impact on the territory.
