Abstract
In this paper, a microcontroller was designed to develop the satellite dish positioning system which can be operated automatically through signals. The main concept behind the use of this dish is to receive a signal from satellite and telecasting sources. In order to get the exact angle of position of the dish, it needs to be adjusted manually. In general, there are many problems in manual configuration of dish antenna that are human errors, aligning the position of the dish etc. In existing system, it helps in adjusting the position of the dish through a remote control that acts as a transmitter in which the data is received by an IR receiver which is interfaced to a ATMEL micro controller. It is used to overcome the difficulties of manual alignment of antenna and also it helps to aligning the position of the dish automatically.
