Abstract
In this paper, Inter Carrier Interference (ICI) reduction schemes were discussed for MIMO-OFDM (Multiple Input Multiple Output-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing systems. The frequency offset creates an inter carrier interference in between transmitter and receiver. In a cellular communication system, fully loaded traffic conditions at the cell edgebrings out the inter carrier interference. Hence, Frequency reuse or the combination of multiple cells with their coordination techniques are used to remove the inter carrier interference. To mitigate this interference the spatial diversity techniques are used. In this method we are using the spatial techniquesto lengthen the cyclic prefix greater than the channel impulse response. One more phenomenon where the Inter carrier interference arises due to the wireless channel estimation with the help of Doppler spread information and the data symbols detector. And so at the receiver end we have used parallel interference cancellation and the decision statistically combining methods to removethe inter carrier interference.
