Academician sculpture of the serfs B. I. Orlovsky

The article deals with the life and work of the great Russian sculptor of the serfs B. I. Orlovsky. The author clarifies the documented date of birth of the sculptor, as in many sources date of birth is treated differently. Especially the author draws attention to the origin of the great sculptor and his further studies abroad. Analyzed famous works B. I. Orlovsky, which embodies the heroic pages of the Russian people. The author emphasizes that the sculptor thanks to his talent and hard work overcame the oppression of serfdom and has always been close to the people.
